A Bitaxe Has Mined Block 853742
A solo Bitcoin miner with 3 TH/s has mined block 853742, overcoming odds of 1 in 1.2 million and earning 3.192 BTC (approximately $200,000).
- The block was relayed by Solo CKPool, a service dedicated to solo bitcoin mining.
"Congratulations to miner with the first bitaxe block, only a tiny 3 TH/s for finding the 290th solo block on solo ckpool! This much hashrate only would find a block once every 3500 YEARS on average, or 1 in 1.2 MILLION chance per day," said Dr-ck, operator of Solo CKPool.
- "Incredibly according to the logs they appear to have only started mining solo to this address 19 days ago, and increased their hashrate to 3 TH/s only in the last 24 hours. There is no way to know if they were mining on different address with extra hashrate but that's unlikely," he added.
