Blitz Wallet v0.3.7-beta: On-Chain Payments from Lightning or Liquid, Manual Channel Rebalancing
Blitz wallet is a self-custodial Bitcoin Lightning, Liquid, and ecash wallet built using the Breez SDK, Greenlight, Liquid Wallet Kit, and Boltz. Availalbe on iOS and Android.
- This Blitz wallet (beta) update allows on-chain payments from Lightning or Liquid balances, removes requirement for a Lightning node connection when Lightning is disabled, introduces weekly rotation of Liquid addresses for accounts and monthly for contacts, enables automatic recovery of unclaimed ecash transactions, includes bug fixes for stability, and enables manual channel rebalancing.
What's new
- On-Chain Payments: users can now send on-chain payments directly from either their Lightning or Liquid balance.
- Manual Channel Rebalancing: users can manually rebalance channels via the balance info page instead of automatic rebalancing on every wallet load.
- Lightning Node Connection Update: the wallet no longer requires a connection to a Lightning node unless there is a Lightning balance or Lightning is enabled, reducing dependencies for non-Lightning users.
- Rotating Liquid Addresses:
- Weekly Account Address Rotation: Liquid addresses will now rotate weekly for enhanced privacy.
- Monthly Contact Address Rotation: added contact Liquid addresses will rotate monthly to keep details current and maintain privacy.
- Ecash Claim Recovery: users can now claim missed ecash transactions due to offline periods or failed claims. Unclaimed ecash tokens will be automatically attempted for recovery upon wallet loading, reducing lost funds.
- General Bug Fixes: various issues have been addressed to enhance app stability and reliability.
