Coinbase Is Still 'Looking Into How To Best Add Lightning'
After saying that Coinbase will integrate Lightning back in April, CEO Brian Armstrong repeated that the largest exchange in the United States is still evaluating options for its forthcoming Lightning integration.
- After being asked "Why do you continue to ignore bitcoin and lightning?" by Block's Jack Dorsey on Twitter on July 26, 2023, today Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong finally responded with:
"We’re looking into how to best add Lightning. It’s non-trivial, but I think worth doing. I’m all for payments taking off in Bitcoin. Not sure why you think we’re ignoring Bitcoin - we’ve onboarded more people to Bitcoin than probably any company in the world. Let’s build it together."
