Fountain App v1.1.16: Nostr Live Streams & Storage Manager
Fountain is a Lightning and Nostr-powered value-for-value podcasting app and community where listeners and podcasters get rewarded for the value they provide. Available on iOS and Android.
- You can now watch Nostr livestreams directly from the Fountain app and join live chats during recordings. This includes shows like Rabbit Hole Recap, THE Bitcoin Podcast, and Simply Bitcoin, as well as live podcasts, music events from Phantom Power Music, radio stations such as NoGood and Noderunners, and channels for gaming, art, coding, and more.
- Livestreams from accounts you follow on Nostr appear at the top of the home screen.
"Nostr livestreams are a beta feature - i.e. we still have a lot more work to do! We will continue to make improvements to livestreams over the coming months - so we would love to hear your feedback," the company said in a blog post.
- The app's settings now include a storage manager to view and delete file storage for audio, video, transcripts, image cache, feed cache, and temp files, freeing up device storage for optimal performance.
- The Fountain development team is making several performance and stability improvements to the app. In the coming weeks, they plan to roll out an image proxy service, which aims to reduce mobile data usage and optimize device storage.
