Hodl Hodl Blocks US Users from Accessing Its Lending Platform
United States residents and citizens will not be able to access Lend service at Hodl Hodl, announced the company.
- "After careful consideration, we have decided to implement a stricter policy on allowed countries for our services. As part of this change, our lending platform, Lend at Hodl Hodl, will be blocked for users from the USA and several other countries," announced Hodl Hodl in a blog post.
"Existing users of Lend at Hodl Hodl can finalize their current loans but will not be able to engage in new ones starting today," added the company.
- When it comes to the company's peer-to-peer trading marketplace, the company reiterated that it never served the United States customers in the first place.
"Hodl Hodl will continue to focus on serving our global community with the highest standards, particularly prioritizing users in emerging markets. We encourage all users to review the latest version of our Terms of Service (ToS) to see the list of allowed countries."
- A complete list of countries blocked from the Lend service include: The United States of America, Cuba, North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Puerto Rico, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, or any state, country, territory or other jurisdiction that is embargoed by the United Nations.
