Mercury Layer is Now Code Complete and Available For Testing
Mercury Layer is a Layer 2 protocol for Bitcoin that enables the self-custodial transfer of coins (UTXOs) without on-chain transactions.
- "Mercury layer, a new implementation of fully blinded statechains, is now code complete and undergoing testing," announced Tom Trevethan, CTO at CommerceBlock, on X.
- "We have set up a public test server and invite anybody interested to try it out. Here is a guide to running the client with testnet bitcoin."
"The server is blind to anything related to the bitcoin network, however only use this test server with testnet or signet coins as the is no guarantee it will not be shut down without notice," he added.
- "The server status and blind key share data is all public and is available to view at: http://45.76.136.11/."
- "Any comments and feedback greatly appreciated."
