Nostur Becomes Next Nostr App Heading to Apple's Zap Jail For 'Selling Digital Content'
Nostur iOS app joins ranks with Damus in being coerced by Apple to remove note zaps from its Nostr client.
- "Just received a call from Apple, I have to remove zaps from posts in the next version," said the app's developer Fabian.
- Identically to the Damus situation, Nostur is being asked to remove zaps from user notes or integrate Apple's in-app purchases in accordance with the App Store guideline 3.1.1.
- As more previously Apple-approved Nostr app developers are being harassed into removing essential protocol features, users are encouraged to adopt or at least try out roundabout solutions like Zapple Pay.
