Polar v3.0.0: Lightning Terminal Nodes with Taproot Assets Channels

Polar is a tool for creating one-click Lighting networks used in local app development and testing. Available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Polar v3.0.0: Lightning Terminal Nodes with Taproot Assets Channels
  • "Announcing the release of Polar v3.0.0! This release comes with support for the latest LND, Core Lightning, and Eclair versions, as well as a new addition to the app. Polar now includes Lightning Terminal (litd) nodes with support for Taproot Assets channels," announced the project.
  • "Lightning Terminal nodes contain both LND and tapd integrated into a single daemon. They can mint, send and receive assets on-chain, as well as open/close channels and send/receive Lightning payments. A recipient can create an invoice to receive assets and it can be paid with either the same asset or BTC."
    • "The opposite is true as well. A sender can choose to pay a BTC invoice using the asset of their choosing or BTC. The recipient doesn’t even need to be a litd node. They can be Core Lightning, Eclair, or LND."
  • "Lightning Terminal nodes also support connecting to them via Lightning Node Connect (LNC). Just create a new session and copy the pairing phrase into any app that supports LNC. Here’s the excellent @ZeusLN wallet connecting and making payments."
