StartOS Is Now Available Under the MIT License
StartOS is an open source Linux distribution optimized for running a personal server.
- StartOS by Start9 has recently been switched to the MIT license, allowing its users complete freedom to tinker with the product.
- "That's what Bitcoin was published at, and, in our opinion, it is the only truly free license," said Matt Hill of Start9 on the recent episode of Simply Bitcoin show.
"StartOS no longer belongs to Start9 as a company, we are its stewards, we are its engineering team, we're going to pour our life blood into it but from proprietary stance we have the same rights to it as everybody else in the world," he added.
