Tether: We've Onboarded US Secret Service and FBI to Our Platform
"Tether recently onboarded the United States Secret Service into our platform and is in the process of doing the same with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)," the company wrote in a letter addressed to Senator Cynthia Lummis.
- "In a recent letter shared with U.S. legislators, Tether’s CEO has elaborated on his methods to prevent unsavory individuals from using the company’s USDT stablecoins, including by onboarding the Secret Service and FBI to the company’s platform," reported The Block.
- "The November 16th letter outlines Tether’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies and standards, and describes its proactive and extensive cooperation with law enforcement agencies worldwide, including the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Secret Service. "

This collaboration aims to combat illegal activities and aid in fund recovery," was stated in the company's blog post.
