Uzbekistan Issues Ban on Individual Bitcoin Mining Operations
Uzbekistan’s National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP) issued a decree limiting Bitcoin mining operations exclusively to state-licensed entities.
- New rules also require firms to only use solar power for mining operations, with several unspecified exceptions.
"The organization of mining activities and service providers is possible only after receiving a permit document and a license in the prescribed manner,' stated the industry's watchdog.
- The legislation also prohibits conducting mining operations at addresses that do not correspond to the address indicated at registration, as well as mining anonymous crypto assets.
